Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Clinical and Patient Services team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our hospitals.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to work closely with our clinical teams in Medicine, Surgery, and Women's and Children's areas. You will be responsible for completing medicines reconciliation, ensuring appropriate medicines management, and assisting with the day-to-day operational organization of the dispensaries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clinical teams to complete medicines reconciliation and ensure appropriate medicines management
  • Assist with the day-to-day operational organization of the dispensaries, including the safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of prescriptions
  • Collaborate with the Patient Services team to supervise and coordinate the work of the dispensaries

Requirements
  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate
  • Post-qualification hospital experience
  • Experience in supervision of staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
