Royal London is on the lookout for a Senior Front-End Developer to enhance our Design Team as we advance our transformation of customer, adviser, and employer experiences while reimagining our digital offerings.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering outstanding experiences and ensuring our customers achieve optimal results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage extensive business acumen and technical expertise to assist teams in designing, developing, testing, and implementing effective front-end solutions.
  • Oversee the development and upkeep of Royal London's comprehensive Design System.
  • Provide support to various agile teams, working closely with them to facilitate the swift adoption of the Design System across their products and the broader organization.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of Royal London's Design System, ensuring compliance with established standards, including accessibility and selected front-end frameworks.
  • Guarantee that all code is rigorously tested to align with our standards, guidelines, and quality benchmarks for relevant technologies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Solid understanding of web and accessibility standards.
  • Essential knowledge and experience with the Design System platform.
  • Thorough comprehension of the complete software development lifecycle.
  • In-depth technical proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with UI and JavaScript frameworks such as Bootstrap, Material Design, Angular, and TypeScript.
