About the Role

Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor to join our team. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, audits, and respond to queries from external advisers.
  • Review revenue and balance sheet reconciliations, analyze and correct discrepancies.
  • Prepare journal entries and coordinate with teams within the Finance Department.
  • Lead and participate in complex accounting projects and initiatives.
  • Meet accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Ensure all VAT regulations are adhered to and prepare VAT Returns.
  • Lead and support HMRC initiatives and changes.
  • Streamline and enhance processes within the department.
  • Act as a backup for other team members during periods of absence.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

Requirements

  • Proven and progressive experience in a fast-paced, challenging professional services environment.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience and knowledge in European and Cross Border tax is preferred.
  • Demonstrated high level of diplomacy, confidentiality, and excellent judgement in navigating sensitive issues.
  • Strong Excel knowledge.
  • Knowledge of 3E and Chrome River would be an advantage.
