About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic psychology graduate to join our CAMHS team as a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who have mental health or emotional wellbeing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in clinical and service development roles under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist
  • Receive weekly supervision, training, and support in this role
  • Work with children and young people with mental health difficulties, including those with neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring mental health needs
  • Administer psychometric assessments and contribute to the development of treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to service users
Requirements
  • Good honours degree in psychology (1st or high 2:1)
  • Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties
  • Previous experience of administering psychometric assessments is an advantage

Our CAMHS team provides specialist mental health services to children and young people aged 0-18, living in the Southend, Essex, and Thurrock areas. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care to our service users and their families.
