Senior Financial Compliance Manager

Position Overview
This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and regulatory adherence of Northern Marine. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Group Financial Compliance and the broader Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Group authorization instructions matrix and conduct an annual assessment.
- Facilitate and lead Agresso Controls meetings, ensuring follow-up on action items.
- Independently manage the establishment of new bank accounts as required by business operations.
- Conduct a yearly review of all finance, procurement, and accounts payable processes, partnering with document owners to enhance documentation quality.
- Serve as the primary contact for modifications to existing finance documentation, creating an efficient change management process.
- Identify deficiencies in current documentation and propose enhancements to strengthen finance operations.
- Assist in the formation of new entities as necessary, including tasks such as subsidiary registration, VAT registration, and opening bank accounts.
- Participate in debtors meetings alongside the Head of Financial Compliance, managing minutes and follow-up actions, while providing consolidated debtor reports for senior management.
- Support the management and reporting of the Group's working capital, including cash flows, inventory policies, and cash analysis.
- Ensure the ongoing improvement, auditing, and compliance of key financial documentation managed within the Quality Management System.
- Assist in coordinating the external audit for UK entities.
- Provide evidence for various audits (ISO, Client audits, SOC audits, Internal audits) and take responsibility for specific audit areas.
- Support ad hoc information requests and projects from the finance department.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and company directors.
- Manage monthly pension submissions, HMRC payments, and payroll costings for the UK company.
- Assist in annual tax compliance, including the submission of corporation tax returns for UK entities.
- Prepare P11D forms and annual PSA for each PAYE reference.
- Lead project-based initiatives, ensuring teams remain focused on agreed deadlines and objectives.
- Occasionally assist the finance team with AARO reporting to align with parent company goals.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed relevant to the role.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS).
- Extensive experience in audit and compliance functions.
