Cost Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our Cost Management leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering cost advice to design colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee project delivery for large residential projects, managing multi-disciplined teams and line management duties.
- Deliver technical excellence on a frequent basis, promoting learning opportunities to other staff.
- Develop and implement cost plans for complex projects using Cost X estimating software.
- Manage a supporting team of Cost Management colleagues, advising design colleagues on cost implications of alternative design options.
- Provide monthly reporting on cost movement to clients, engaging in Value Engineering and risk workshops, and offering strategic cost advice.
- Advising on and supporting procurement of contractors, delivering the full range of construction stage cost management services.
- Build relationships with design colleagues, client stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Experience in Employer's Agent and/or Contract Administration duties.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of Cost Management, including cost planning, estimating, and control.
- Business Development and Business Planning experience, with a focus on cost management services.
- Proficiency in Cost X estimating software, with experience working with Revit models.
- Experience working on major projects (£50m+), with a strong understanding of NEC3/4 and JCT construction contracts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cost reporting meetings with senior client representatives.
- Collaborative approach, with experience working with large technical teams.
- Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel, Project, and Word.
- UK driving licence.
- Willingness to complete S/C level of security clearance on appointment.
