Head of Commercial Litigation and Contract Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Contract Management and Performance function, providing vital business assurance to the Prison Director while adhering to HMPPS and Mitie policies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a dynamic team responsible for ICT, Health, Safety, Fire, Litigation, Audits, Performance, Complaints, Finance, Resourcing, Staff Training, and Catering.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and achieve Prison performance targets.
- Design impactful training programmes, drive initiatives, and deliver formal audit outcomes while investigating incidents and managing IT investments effectively.
- Integrate HMCIP 'Expectations' into policies and raise staff awareness.
- Participate in Mitie initiatives, including succession planning.
- Lead performance measures, contract outcomes, and target achievement, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Deliver a minimum of Level 3 HMIP ratings, manage risks, and maximize operational resources.
- Oversee key projects and ensure the Annual Custodial Service Delivery Plan's delivery.
- Experience in line management, supporting, and coaching staff to achieve effective results across multiple functions.
- Proven track record in performance improvement and managing key performance indicators to enhance service delivery.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including budget management and driving financial efficiencies.
