Senior Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client's team in Derby. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and commercial awareness, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the project lifecycle, from initial brief to delivery, and will be able to effectively manage and coordinate with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence
  • Managing and coordinating with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including resource allocation and risk management
  • Ensuring compliance with company objectives and industry standards

The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a closely related industry. A project management qualification and experience with Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project, or Asta project planning software are also essential.

Additional requirements include:

  • Extensive experience in client-facing roles, including gathering initial project briefs and confidently presenting and negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to travel overseas on occasion, with a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience of working in a hybrid role, with a mix of home and office working
