Senior Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client's team in Derby. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and commercial awareness, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from initial brief to project completion. This will involve working closely with the project management team, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinating with project team members, including engineers, technicians, and other support staff
  • Managing project risks, issues, and changes
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
  • Providing regular project updates to stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and senior management

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management. They will also have a proven track record of delivering projects in a custom fabrication and manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of the commercial aspects of business.

Additional requirements include:

  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum)
  • Experience of working with Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project, or Asta project planning software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to travel overseas on occasion, with a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
