Senior Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Derby. Our client is a leading company in the niche industry, with a wide range of sectors including Energy, Aerospace, Marine, Nuclear, Petro-chemical, and Utilities.

The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong leadership to ensure successful project execution. You will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle in a custom fabrication and manufacturing environment, ensuring timely delivery within budget and in line with company objectives.

This is a hybrid role, working from home Monday and Friday. The position involves travelling to customer sites across the region, so you will need a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle, compensated with a generous car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle in a custom fabrication and manufacturing environment
  • Ensure timely delivery within budget and in line with company objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the project management team to ensure project success
  • Travel to customer sites across the region
Requirements:
  • Project management qualification with at least 5-years hands-on experience within a closely related industry
  • Strong technical competence and a keen understanding of the commercial aspects of business
  • Extensive experience in client-facing roles, including gathering initial project briefs, coordinating with all relevant parties, and confidently presenting and negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel overseas on occasion
