About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Manager to lead the development of a new children's residential service. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing a high-quality care program, managing a team of staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for the children in placement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Service Development: Establish and develop a new, innovative children's residential service that meets the needs of children aged 8-17 with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  2. Team Management: Manage and foster a cohesive, high-performing staff team that provides exceptional care and support to the children.
  3. Performance Management: Set and review ambitious targets and objectives for the care team, ensuring that they are met and exceeded.
  4. Partnership Working: Promote collaborative, partnership-based practices with young people and their families, ensuring that their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  5. Care and Safety: Ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for the children in placement, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements
  1. Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in staff supervision and management.
  2. Relevant Experience: At least 2 years' relevant experience in residential childcare, preferably as a Deputy Manager.
  3. Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  4. Driving License: Full clean driving license.
  5. Skills: Proven ability to provide consistent, nurturing care and support to young people, experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours, and flexibility to cover shifts as needed.
