Job Description

Job Title: Executive Officer - Asylum Support and Resettlement Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Executive Officer to join our team at the Home Office. As an Executive Officer, you will provide administrative support to the wider HOLO team, as well as colleagues in local authorities and other partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the HOLO team, including managing stakeholder relationships and escalating issues.
  • Work closely with internal and external agencies, including local authorities, charities, and government departments.
  • Manage multiple competing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to improve quality of work and performance.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Asylum processes and Home Office systems.

Requirements:

  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Substantial experience of working in a supportive role, with the ability to train and support others.
  • Ability to work flexibly and deliver at pace, under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
  • Experience of coaching or mentoring staff to improve quality of work and performance.
  • Desirable: knowledge of Asylum processes and Home Office systems, working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
