SEND Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Merton. As a Teaching Assistant for SEND students, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of all students
Requirements:
  • 2:1 degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Friendly and patient personality, with excellent communication skills
  • Career goals of becoming an Educational or Clinical Psychologist
