About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Agent to join our team at Griffiths, a leading sustainable Civil Engineering Contractor. As a Site Agent, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient delivery of our Welsh Water Wastewater Network Repair and Maintenance projects in North Wales.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of projects and set standards to facilitate high-performing teams.
- Ensure Management Plans, documentation, and contract-specific requirements are produced in line with the programme for the project.
- Review Procurement in a timely manner to enable best-value procurement.
- Ensure resources are sufficient for the type and complexity of the project to safely plan and deliver the project.
- Assist in the production of the Project Cost Plan and monthly updates.
- Monitor progress to ensure the project is delivered to required targets.
- Review and manage subcontracts and deliveries.
- Manage site operations to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency by understanding, adjusting, and delivering an agreed scope and strategy based on tender principles.
- Provide contract notifications in a timely manner and ensure payment applications are issued and in line with project forecasts and expectations.
Requirements:
- Educated to HNC or Degree level in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, listening, and negotiation skills.
- SMSTS or equivalent.
- Experience using NEC forms of contract.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good problem-solving skills; able to collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
