Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychology Lecturer to join our team at the University of Reading. As a Teaching-Intensive Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and supervision on our graduate and postgraduate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) programmes.

About the Role: The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in CBT, with experience of working with children and young people. You will have a proven track record of teaching and supervising others, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and enhancing student experience. You will also have good organisational and interpersonal skills, and an understanding of, and interest in, research into CBT or pedagogical approaches within clinical training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and supervision on our CBT programmes
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials and assessments
  • Supervise and mentor students on clinical placements
  • Contribute to the development of research and knowledge exchange activities
  • Participate in academic leadership and administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology or a related field
  • Experience of working clinically with CBT in a children and young people's service
  • Experience of teaching and supervising others
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and enhancing student experience
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of, and interest in, research into CBT or pedagogical approaches within clinical training
