Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Operations Manager to join our team at The Bar MK. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business, including managing inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships, as well as monitoring financial performance and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and availability of products.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on revenue, expenses, and profits.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure exceptional service, operational efficiency, and maintain a high standard of quality in all aspects of our business.
  • Event Planning: Oversee event planning and coordination for private parties and special events in our semi-private area.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef and bar team to maintain and innovate the menu, ensuring a balance between Italian and Spanish cuisine alongside an exceptional beverage program.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Team-Building: Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Restaurant Management: Excellent understanding of restaurant/bar management, food and beverage service, and customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Experience with Wines, Cocktails and Italian cuisine and beverage programs.
  • Event Management: Familiarity with event management and catering for private functions.
