Barnardo's Scotland is a leading children's charity that provides a range of services to support vulnerable children and young people. Our Caern Disability Services is a unique project that delivers quality services for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Residential Project Worker to join our team. As a Residential Project Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism in our short breaks service. You will work on a rota basis, including weekends, and be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism in our short breaks service
  • Work on a rota basis, including weekends
  • Provide high-quality care and support to service users
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (e.g. SVQ3 children and young people) plus an HNC in social services
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekends
