Occupational Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to patients in the community setting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a defined caseload within specialist area, using evidence-based/client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the outcomes of intervention where appropriate.
- Organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
- Ensure clinical records are kept to agreed standards and report accurately to others.
- Work in partnership with clients, carers and all stakeholders, including the multidisciplinary/multi-agency team, to identify relevant goals.
- Provide leadership and supervision for junior staff, as delegated by supervisor/team leader.
- Regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.
- Participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in the Band 6 Development Programme and other developmental activities.
