Electrical and Instrumentation Lead Engineer

Lanxess Flavour & Fragrance manufacturing plant is a leading supplier of specialty ingredients globally. We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Lead Engineer to join our Maintenance and Engineering team.

About the Role:

The Electrical and Instrumentation Lead Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving Electrical and Instrumentation technologies across the Widnes manufacturing site. This includes HV & LV Electrical distribution and sub-distribution, Process Instrumentation, Lighting, Earthing and Lightning Protection, and infrastructure systems.

The successful candidate will define inspection, maintenance, and asset management strategies to enhance reliability, compliance, and process & occupational safety performance. They will partner with departmental, site, corporate and contract partners to deliver site and corporate targets within budgeted performance and in accordance with agreed plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define inspection, maintenance, and asset management strategies
  • Partner with departmental, site, corporate and contract partners
  • Control assigned projects and maintenance contracts
  • Maintain and improve Electrical and Instrumentation technologies

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the UK legislative framework for Electrical Systems and relevant technical & SHE standards. They will be familiar with requirements of IEC60079 and DSEAR/ATEX 137 directive and have experience in maintaining and inspecting High Voltage switchgear and distribution networks. Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) is essential. Experience of SAP S4-Hanna Asset Management is an advantage.
