About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EC&I Technician to join our team at our Widnes site. As a key member of our technical department, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable legislation and site maintenance plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance routines and inspections to ensure compliance with site plans and legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and method statements for all work undertaken.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on LV electrical systems, supporting the EC&I Engineer with site electrical systems maintenance and testing.
  • Provide expert support on process plant instrumentation, including troubleshooting, calibration, and trip testing.
  • Collaborate with the EC&I Engineer and Planner on work control and planning.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed to comply with relevant SHE standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and contribute to implementation.
  • Provide commissioning support to project engineers for new installations on site.

About You

  • Trade apprenticeship supported by HNC electrical/EC&I or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a process plant environment, preferably on an upper-tier COMAH site.
  • Knowledge of engineering procedures, HV/LV systems, and DCS/IACS.
  • Full knowledge of workplace safety legislation and standards, including ATEX, PUWER, and Functional Safety.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671 trained.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP S4/Hanna for Asset Management an advantage.
