Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scrub Nurse to join our dynamic Theatre department in a leading private hospital. This role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including private healthcare and pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and high-quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase.
  • Support and coordinate care within the operating department, ensuring seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care, mentoring and guiding junior staff members.
  • Lead patient care delivery during assigned lists or specified periods, making informed decisions to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to the functional specialty, such as Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification.
  • ENB 998 and/or mentorship course, Approved anaesthetic course, and ILS certification.
  • Orthopaedic skills and experience in an acute healthcare environment.
  • Mentorship qualification and experience managing and leading a clinical team.
