About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Manager (Senior) Scientific Associate (Maternity Cover) at the Cancer Research UK – Cambridge Institute (CRUK-CI). This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to cutting-edge research in cancer biology and therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific support and lab management to the Cancer Signalling and Therapeutics Laboratory, led by Group Leader Dr Pau Creixell.
  • Assist the group leader in laboratory administrative, housekeeping, and maintenance duties.
  • Conduct experimental research within the lab's research programme, utilizing a broad range of techniques, including molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, protein purification, and biochemistry.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to PhD students, postdocs, and other lab members.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly talented and experienced individual with a BSc, MSc, or PhD degree level qualification in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field, and experience in laboratory management and scientific support.
