Position Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in driving the future of mobility through innovative engineering solutions. Your role as a Controls Engineer will involve overseeing and enhancing automation processes within our manufacturing environment.

About the Role:
This position focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems and processes. You will work collaboratively within a high-performing, cross-functional team, contributing to the development of advanced manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support all PLC and control-related tasks, ensuring the integrity of databases and systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to explore the introduction of automation technologies.
  • Lead and support initiatives aimed at reducing waste, enhancing cycle times, and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and New Product Introduction (NPI), to drive engineering projects.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, striving for zero defects through the implementation of best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant engineering qualification, with a preference for a degree or a minimum of HNC alongside additional certifications. You should have at least five years of experience in a qualified engineering role, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key qualifications include:
  • Electrical bias with extensive knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron) and automation technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to support cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English, with a willingness to travel internationally to support equipment qualifications.
