Job Summary

PCE Automation is seeking a talented and motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will play a crucial role in transitioning our automated equipment from completion of build through to customer inspection and sign-off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the commissioning of automated equipment, ensuring it meets customer requirements and is delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team to identify and resolve technical issues, using problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of software, electrical, and mechanical engineering principles and their application in commissioning.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Contribute to the development of commissioning procedures and documentation, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree in advanced control and system/software engineering or a similar subject, including coding.
  • Experience programming Programmable Logic controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines.
