Trunking Drivers Wanted for The Best Connection

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team at The Best Connection. As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for operating a 48,000LB vehicle to local areas, making deliveries and product pickups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a 48,000LB vehicle to local areas, making deliveries and product pickups.
  • Perform thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
  • Report any safety issues on standard reports.
  • Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and follow all job directives precisely.
  • Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Class 1 Driver (HGV) qualification.
  • Class 1 driver experience.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Verifiable references.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • LGV C+E Driver Days: £15.54 per hour.
  • LGV C+E Driver Nights: £17.00 per hour.
  • LGV C+E Driver Saturday: £21.17 per hour.
  • LGV C+E Driver Sunday: £25.57 per hour.
