Your primary responsibilities as a Senior Systems Engineer will include:
- Comprehending the intricate needs of our clients and collaborating to formulate, validate, and oversee requirements at various levels.
- Designing complex system architectures and subsystems utilizing a Model Based Systems Engineering methodology.
- Integrating, analyzing, and testing real-time systems that encompass multiple technical fields, including electronic, mechanical, optical, and software subsystems.
- Assuming responsibility for collaborative technical work package execution and the associated results.
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to fellow engineers.
- Ensuring that client requirements are met effectively.
- Driving the development of new and enhanced systems through implementation, employing best practice systems lifecycle processes alongside methodologies such as Learn First and Agile.
To excel in this role, your skills and qualifications should ideally encompass:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in systems engineering within relevant product markets or domains, such as real-time displays or electro-mechanical controls.
- Demonstrated expertise in requirements and design analysis, modeling and simulation, utilizing tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, Matlab, and Simulink, as well as design methodologies like SysML.
- Experience with safety-related systems and safety assessment processes, along with an understanding of how these processes impact design.
- Experience liaising with customers and/or suppliers on technical matters.
- The ability to work independently and make informed strategic decisions while ensuring team collaboration and understanding.
- Proven experience in estimating, planning, and tracking multi-disciplinary or systems engineering tasks.
- Capability to conduct review assessments and provide technical guidance to others.
- Extensive electronic engineering experience is highly desirable, with exposure to other engineering fields (Optics, AI, software, manufacturing, mechanical, etc.) also being beneficial.
- An understanding of information assurance, cybersecurity, and environmental impact considerations related to real-time embedded engineering products would be advantageous.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics).
