About the Role

Fawkes and Reece is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Planner to join our team working on high-value infrastructure projects. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a vital role in planning and coordinating major projects worth millions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in developing detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion of key project milestones.
  2. Project Monitoring and Risk Management: Support in monitoring project progress, identifying risks and issues, and providing solutions for delays or bottlenecks.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to gather project data, update schedules, and create reports.
  4. Project Forecasting and Resource Allocation: Assist in the preparation and analysis of project forecasts, resource allocation, and critical path assessments.
  5. External and Internal Coordination: Engage with external contractors and internal teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure effective communication.
  6. Project Scheduling and Tracking: Use industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to track and update project schedules.
Requirements
  1. Previous Experience: Previous experience in a planning role within the civil engineering, structures, or M+E sector.
  2. Project Planning Software: Strong proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  3. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  4. Relevant Qualification: Relevant qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
