Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the formation and expansion of the new Crude Oil Derivatives Trading Desk. This represents a rare chance to engage with a world-renowned firm and thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure trading atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the establishment and evolution of the Crude Oil Derivatives Trading Desk.
  • Execute and manage trades in crude oil derivatives, ensuring they align with the firm's strategic goals.
  • Evaluate market dynamics, pinpoint trading prospects, and formulate trading methodologies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including research, risk management, and operations, to enhance trading efficacy.
  • Guarantee adherence to all regulatory standards and internal protocols.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability and risk oversight of the firm's trading portfolio.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in crude oil derivatives trading.
  • Currently engaged with a reputable trading firm (not trading independently).
  • Demonstrated history of successful trading and achieving robust results in the crude oil markets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the crude oil market, including price influencers, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with the agility to respond swiftly to market fluctuations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function effectively in a collaborative environment.
