Position Overview: The successful candidate will play a key role in the setup and growth of the new Crude Oil Derivatives Trading Desk. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a globally recognized firm and to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup and development of the Crude Oil Derivatives Trading Desk.
  • Execute and manage trades in crude oil derivatives, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, identify trading opportunities, and develop trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research, risk management, and operations, to optimize trading performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability and risk management of the firm’s trading portfolio.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in crude oil derivatives trading.
  • Currently employed with a reputable trading organization (not trading independently).
  • Proven track record of successful trading and delivering strong results in the crude oil markets.
  • Deep understanding of the crude oil market, including price drivers, supply and demand factors, and geopolitical influences.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to react quickly to market changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
