This role is ideal for those who have experience or a keen interest in working with individuals exhibiting significant behavioral challenges.


The Mental Health Support position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to enhancing the life prospects of children and young people who are at risk due to their challenging beginnings.

About the Educational Environment

Students are primarily at KS2, KS3, or KS4, often performing below the expected academic levels for their age.
The institution provides a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of the children, including vocational education.

There is a strong emphasis on assisting students in managing their emotions and behaviors to prepare them for future learning and life beyond education.

There is potential for this role to transition into a permanent position following a qualifying period.

Candidate Requirements

To qualify for the Mental Health Support Worker role, candidates must:

- Demonstrate excellent behavior management capabilities and possess resilience to navigate challenging situations.
- Exhibit empathy, patience, and a strong work ethic.

All staff members will undergo thorough interviews and reference checks and must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.

Compensation

£350 to £450 per week

Compensation is based on experience, training, or qualifications.

The minimum qualifications required for this position include:

- Relevant experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
