Babcock International Group is seeking a highly skilled Principal BIM and Digital Engineer to join our team at our Devonport site.

The Role

As a Principal BIM and Digital Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) in terms of information management, BIM, and digital delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) strategies in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Safety related facilities for the Major Infrastructure Projects programme.
  • Provide BIM support and leadership to projects, ensuring consistency in the way MIP and the wider organization delivers BIM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective information management and digital delivery.

This is a full-time, 36-hour per week role that requires regular travel to Devonport, Plymouth on a monthly basis, alongside home working arrangements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Design and Construction experience background, i.e., civil, structural, architectural, and MEP or similar.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Significant design and construction experience.
  • The ability to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the process of BIM throughout the design and construction lifecycle.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
