We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our engineering activities and drive success across our Sonobuoys portfolio.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering engineering projects to time, cost, and quality, while leading a multi-disciplinary team to ensure solutions meet requirements and are fit for purpose.

The Sonobuoys portfolio encompasses new product development, in-service support, and products already in production, requiring a deep understanding of Sonar or Acoustics and extensive experience in work package management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage teams of teams to achieve engineering goals
  2. Review, challenge, and defend engineering estimates
  3. Create Work Breakdown Structures and define delivery strategies
  4. Produce engineering plans with dependencies, assumptions, risks, and opportunities identified, communicated, and managed
  5. Understand design gates from bid to full-scale production readiness review
  6. Have a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with an understanding of Software and Systems engineering
  7. Coach and/or mentor team members

This role requires eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance, with occasional UK travel and a hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: £80K - £90K (+ relocation assistance)
