Position Overview

This role presents a unique opportunity to become a vital member of the Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Neonatology (OGN) Team.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our administrative unit, providing essential support to the Directorate in the seamless and effective management of Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs).

The ideal candidate will possess a systematic approach to tasks, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and maintain a flexible mindset aligned with the Trust's core values. A solid understanding of patient confidentiality, coupled with experience in an administrative capacity, makes this position suitable for someone eager to enhance their administrative expertise. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Proficient computer skills are mandatory, and familiarity with hospital information systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

To oversee the efficient provision of MDT services within the Gynaecology department, ensuring high-quality and comprehensive support to the MDT. To track and manage the care pathways of patients receiving treatment through the MDT. To handle the collection and analysis of data related to the operation of the MDT Service. To collaborate closely with the Gynaecology MDT (including Consultants, Nurses, and Administrators), as well as the broader trust and relevant national and regional networks, to guarantee effective service delivery and enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

Minimum of GCSE level education or equivalent, including English Language at grade C or above. Diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience. Demonstrable completion of short courses or equivalent experience in report writing, data collection, and result analysis.

Desirable Qualifications

Evidence of ongoing self-development. Completion of short courses in Microsoft Office suite.

Essential Experience

Significant and relevant experience in an administrative and clerical role. Experience in planning complex processes. Familiarity with databases and data management. A clear understanding of the significance of data quality and the consequences of poor quality on operational systems. Proven ability to meet objectives and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience in MDT coordination. Experience in a gynaecology specialty. Familiarity with Trust information systems. Experience in a monitoring or compliance role. Knowledge of NHS England 18-week RTT Pathways and Targets. Skills in typing and distributing minutes. Understanding of medical terminology.
