Job Title: Assistant Team Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Team Manager to join our team in Wiltshire Council. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the delivery of our services and supporting families in need.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on family-based approaches. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team to enhance the delivery of the five "Every Child Matters" outcomes. Your dedication and expertise will drive positive change and shape a brighter future for those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services to families in need
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the delivery of the five "Every Child Matters" outcomes
  • Work closely with the Team Manager to ensure the effective management of the team and the delivery of services
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support the delivery of services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in children and families' social care
  • A level 4 management qualification (desirable)
  • At least 3 years' experience of working in children and families' social care
