The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Witney. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and manufacture of bespoke parts for our manufacturing and testing departments.
About the Role
You will work in a clean, high-specification workshop using state-of-the-art machinery, supporting the development and manufacture of innovative proof-of-concept projects and in-house designed purpose-built equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, scientists, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
About You
To be successful, you will be an Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in precision engineering. You will bring skills in manual Milling/Turning and CNC 3 Axis Milling, with the ability to program, set, and operate. Ideally, you will be familiar with 4/5 Axis CNC Milling, TIG welding, and Wire eroding equipment. You will be comfortable working to tight tolerances and independently producing one-off parts to drawing from Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Engineering Plastics.
