In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the creation of bespoke and one-off parts used within our manufacturing and testing departments. Working in a clean, high-specification workshop using cutting-edge machinery, you will support the development and manufacture of innovative proof-of-concept projects, as well as in-house designed purpose-built equipment that supports R&D and the manufacturing of test strips and glucose sensors.
About You:To be successful, you will be an Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in precision engineering. You will bring skills in both manual Milling/Turning and CNC 3 Axis Milling (ability to program, set, and operate), and ideally be familiar with the use of 4/5 Axis CNC Milling, TIG welding, and Wire eroding equipment. You will be accustomed to working to tight tolerances and be comfortable in independently producing one-off parts to drawing from Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Engineering Plastics.
