Children's Residential Care Manager

We are seeking a skilled Children's Residential Care Manager to take on a groundbreaking role within the sector dedicated to children's residential services. As a Children's Residential Care Manager at A Wilderness Way, you will have the opportunity to profoundly impact the lives of children. Our emphasis is on high-intensity, assessment-driven care, aimed at facilitating successful transitions into permanent placements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a Multi-Building Registration in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Lead, manage, and operate the service, supporting children for approximately 4 months.
  • Foster the progression and development of the children in your care.
  • Establish operational direction and ensure the service fulfills its objectives.
  • Mentor and support residential support staff.
  • Engage with external agencies for collaborative efforts.

Essential Qualities:

  • At least 12 months of experience managing a Residential Children's Home.
  • Extensive background in leading support worker teams.
  • Familiarity with SCCIF and Children's Home Regulations.
  • Ideally possess a Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and delivering outstanding services.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to personal transportation.
