To support with the next phase of growth, the business is now looking for a Finance Manager on either full or part-time basis to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team.

The Company

The business is a rapidly expanding e-commerce retail company with a unique offering that has seen them grow significantly in recent years. The company is now about to enter an important part of their growth journey with ambitious plans for considerable growth in the next few years. They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join them on the exciting journey.

The Role

The position of Finance Manager will be required to maintain internal finances, ranging from transactional duties, up to the production of management accounts. You will also work closely with the Managing Director to provide real-time information to support commercial decisions and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and analysis of spend to budget.
  • Maintaining the financial ledger records.
  • Preparing, in liaison with the Financial Director, annual budgets and maintain financial projections.
  • Liaising with client teams to ensure budgetary information is correct.
  • Producing end of year accounting information for external accountants.
  • Dealing with day-to-day banking operations and monitor cash position.
  • Producing invoices and monitoring payments by creditors.
  • Administering staff expenses.
  • Coordinating monthly staff payroll in liaison with payroll service provider.
  • Coordinating pension arrangements complying with legislation, administering monthly pension payments and being the main interface with pension provider.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of operating as an all-round Accountant preferably in an SME with a background in Practice preferred.
  • A proven track record of being hands on within a small finance function including liaising and influencing senior internal & external stakeholders.
  • Qualified, Part qualified or qualified by experience will be considered for this opportunity.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero etc.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What We Offer

The role will offer a competitive full-time equivalent salary of between £45,000 - £50,000. The position of Finance Manager has a lot of flexibility with the ability to be either part-time (4 days or 28 hours over the week) and will be based in their Edinburgh offices with Hybrid working available.
