With a long-standing reputation for excellence, we assist educational institutions in maximizing their learning and development through innovative technology solutions. We are currently seeking a Field IT Support Specialist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both first and second line IT support, demonstrating strong communication skills alongside technical expertise in IT support.

Key Responsibilities of the Field IT Support Specialist

  • Operate from a home office while managing a portfolio of educational institutions.
  • Deliver both scheduled and on-demand IT support services to your assigned locations.
  • Install and maintain a variety of IT software, hardware, and peripherals, including interactive learning tools.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Address and resolve all technical IT support challenges that may arise.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies ensuring uninterrupted IT services and optimal use of IT budgets.
  • Engage with various stakeholders across different departments at client sites.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in first and second line IT support, preferably with field experience.
  • Experience in providing IT support within the educational sector is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build effective client relationships.
  • Technical proficiency in:
  • Windows Server 2008 – 2016
  • Managing Active Directory environments and utilizing Group Policy in a network of 30+ devices.
  • DNS, DHCP, and the TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • WDS, MDT, or other imaging solutions (both creating and deploying images).
  • Windows 7 – 10
  • Office 365
  • A valid driving license.
