About the Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance, working with a leading manufacturer of industrial brake systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Enroll on and complete an Electrical Engineering college learning path, enhancing your technical skills and knowledge.
  • Develop a methodical and logical approach to problem-solving, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Produce high-quality academic and NVQ work within agreed timeframes, demonstrating your ability to meet deadlines.
  • Learn to interact and understand PLC systems, ABB Industrial Robot maintenance, and fault finding, as well as industry-leading automation systems.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the success of the organization.
  • Adhere to a 3-shift pattern in years 3 and 4, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Analyze data accurately, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Consider environmental factors and dispose of waste responsibly, promoting sustainability.
  • Learn and understand best practices in electrical circuit maintenance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 GCSEs grade C and above, including a B in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language).
  • Natural ability to take ownership of your working environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Passion for engineering and a drive to succeed, with the ability to make confident decisions in a working environment.

This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance, working with a leading manufacturer of industrial brake systems.
