Structural Engineer Job Description

Calibre Search Ltd is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their team in Bristol. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties
  • Work as Technical Lead on projects as and when required
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, including dilapidation reports and due diligence structural surveys
  • Undertake analysis and design using hand calculations and software packages
  • Liaise with and lead other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years UK industry experience
  • Experience in all common forms of construction, material, and building types
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills
  • Experience in working on listed and historical buildings is advantageous
