Structural Engineer Opportunity

ATS Recruitment is working with a leading provider of Structural Insurance to find a talented Structural Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in foundation design, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering principles.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to undertake assessments of structural designs, review drawings and calculations, and provide technical advice on claims. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building regulations, British Standards, and Eurocodes.

Responsibilities

  1. Undertake assessments of structural designs for a wide range of building types, with a focus on foundation design.
  2. Review drawings, calculations, and other technical information to mitigate risk related to foundation design.
  3. Provide technical advice on claims and undertake site inspections and assessments when necessary.
  4. Have a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and experience in foundation design, including pile design, raft foundation design, and ground improvement techniques.
  5. Be able to work as part of a team and have commercial awareness.
  6. Have a working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  7. Be flexible in personal approach and have a full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.
