About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Emergency Medicine, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of our department, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Participate in educational and training activities, including the supervision of junior doctors and medical students.
  • Engage in audit and quality improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a licence to practice in the UK.
  • Completion of a specialist training programme in Emergency Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • Proven clinical leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
