Perioperative Team Leader

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced perioperative practitioner to fill the role of Team Lead in our Inpatient Theatre department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our general and colorectal theatres, including our Robotic service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the theatre and team to ensure a high quality of clinical care is delivered to all patients.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, utilizing excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage conflicting pressures in a calm and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with Senior Charge Nurses to drive service improvements and implement best practices.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure seamless delivery of services across multiple sites within NHS Scotland.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience and knowledge of working within a theatre environment in a scrub role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
