About the Role

The Christie NHS FT is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our Surgical and Anaesthetic Research Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administration of clinical research trials, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Trust policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the efficient set-up and initiation of research trials, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date research study documentation, including investigator site files and essential documentation.
  • Process study amendments and ensure compliance with ICH-GCP and Research and Innovation SOPs.
  • Provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator, Research Project Manager, and Research Nurses, including data collection, case report form completion, and query resolution.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including study sponsors, clinical research organisations, and NHS staff, to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • GCSE Grades A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths, and ICT skills at the level required for an apprenticeship.
  • A willingness to complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification and the AMSPAR Level 2 Award in Medical Terminology.
  • Experience in prioritising and managing a busy workload, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
