Job Summary:

Expleo Group UK Jobs is seeking an experienced Automotive Interior Planning Engineer to join our team. As an Interior Planning and Human Machine Interface (HMI) Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative interior solutions for our clients in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze inputs from product planning, vehicle performance targets, and ergonomic requirements to inform interior design decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and document the layout of major components, ensuring alignment with vehicle, interior, and HMI plans.
  • Oversee styling model development to ensure that styling remains on budget and meets project targets.
  • Maintain a good understanding of automotive European customer, market, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the evolution of HMI in electric vehicles (EVs) to provide a seamless customer experience in and out of the car.

Requirements:

  • Degree-educated in a relevant field, such as automotive engineering or design.
  • Good understanding of CAD layout and experience working with product planning and styling teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project targets.
  • Flexibility to travel and a full driving license valid for driving in the UK.
