Commercial Analyst Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analyst to join our team at Currys plc. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in driving business growth and profitability by analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive market analysis reports to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Analyze customer data to identify trends and patterns, and develop insights to inform marketing strategies
  • Work closely with the buying team to drive supplier investment and optimize pricing decisions
  • Support the development of bundle propositions to drive sales and revenue growth
  • Review data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Brief teams on key findings and recommendations to ensure alignment and action

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in a commercial or business analysis role, with a strong understanding of market trends and customer behavior
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create high-quality reports and presentations
