We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Youth Development Specialist to join our team at Academics. As a specialist in restorative practices and mental health, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, focusing on their academic and personal development.
  • Implement restorative practices to promote positive relationships and behaviors among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to SEMH and restorative practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in restorative practices and mental health support.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as psychology, criminology, or education.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs and restorative practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
