About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operative to join our team at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As an AVP Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our frontline operational vehicles are fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Ambulance Service Vehicles in a prescribed and controlled way to ensure each ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat a patient.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control activities to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Check and inspect medical and lifting & handling equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Restock all consumables and complete vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are ready for service.
  • Prepare consumables, manage stock control, re-fuel vehicles, and move them across various locations as required.
  • Record all daily activities and repatriate equipment from Hospital Trusts.
Requirements
  • Driving license with full Category C1 entitlement, valid in the UK.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work unsocial hours on a 7 day/24 hour shift rota system.
  • Good literacy and numerical skills to pass required examinations and tests.
