Job Title: Production Planning Team Lead

Location: On-site

Salary: £54,793 + depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

The Production Planning Team Lead will be responsible for driving operations, monitoring performance, and implementing corrective actions to ensure operational plans are executed effectively. This role will also involve determining production capacity, training and coaching direct reports, and ensuring alignment between production planning and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive operations and monitor performance to ensure operational plans are executed effectively
  • Determine production capacity and resource requirements to meet operational plans
  • Train and coach direct reports to improve individual performance and drive improvements through area of responsibility
  • Ensure alignment between production planning and key stakeholders to implement credible and executable plans
  • Support the facilitation of Make v Buy scenarios and recommendations
  • Interface with customers and supply chains to support the delivery of operational excellence
  • Ensure an accurate view of demand is maintained and visible through Planning Analytics
  • Support the Head of Department on the delivery of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) schedule

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong production planning background, understanding of the manufacturing function, and experience with ERP systems. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

About the Role:

The Production Planning Team Lead will be part of the Manufacturing Service Delivery Unit (MSDU) within Operations – Air Sector. The team works on multiple products daily, delivering to various customers. The role will involve ensuring operational plans are aligned and balanced, correctly resourced, realistic, and executable.
